Rare Dufonte by Lucien Piccard Telephone Watch Swiss-Made

$2,000.00

Description

For sale is a rare 1960s Dufonte by Lucien Piccard manual-wind, Swiss-made telephone watch. The watch features a bidirectional rotating bezel with US cities and corresponding telephone area codes.

It’s fitted with a stainless steel expansion bracelet by Speidel, which measures 6.5 inches in inner circumference when at rest (not expanded at all). Realistically, the bracelet can stretch and fit almost any wrist size.

The watch also has an original signed crown and an acrylic crystal. Powering the watch is a manual-wind Dufonte Co. 17-jewel movement.

The exact service history of the movement is unknown. However, we tested it, and it’s keeping time accurately and functioning as it should mechanically, without any issues. We are backing it with a 1-year warranty through our store.

Condition: This watch is vintage and pre-owned, so you can expect signs of wear and age. The case, bracelet, and acrylic crystal all carry surface-level scuffs. The dial and hands appear in nice condition, though the lume on the hands does not glow. Due to its age, this watch should be kept away from water.

Sizing: The case measures approximately 36 mm in diameter, excluding the crown, 42 mm from lug tip to lug tip, 18 mm in lug width, and 10.6 mm in case thickness.

Shipping and returns: Shipping within the United States is free. International shipping costs $100. The buyer is responsible for any applicable taxes or import fees. Returns are accepted within three days, provided the item is returned in the same condition in which it was sold.
