For sale is a men’s vintage 1970 Rolex Datejust 36, model/reference 1603. The watch does not include its original box or papers and is not fitted with the original bracelet; it is currently on a non-Rolex two-piece leather strap. This is a non–quick-set Datejust.
The watch shows noticeable signs of age, as expected for a vintage piece. The dial and hands have spots, the acrylic crystal has scratches and scuffs, and the case and bezel display scratches and small dents throughout. Due to its age, the watch is no longer water resistant and should be kept away from moisture.
We serviced this watch in-house in 03/2026 as part of a routine preventative overhaul; it was not broken and did not require any repairs. During the service, we fully disassembled the movement, cleaned it, properly lubricated it, reassembled it, and then timed and adjusted it to ensure it is running as it should. It is currently running very well, keeping accurate time, and functioning exactly as it should with no issues. This watch comes with a 1-year warranty through our shop.
Sizing: 36mm diameter, 43.1mm lug-to-lug, 20mm lug width, and 12.3mm case thickness.
