For sale is an extremely rare 1961 Swiss made Bulova single crown Compressor automatic diving wristwatch. The model/reference number is 272. The watch features a round stainless steel case, screw in back, original non screw down crown, original thick pressure fitted tension ring acrylic crystal, bidirectional rotating bezel, original black dial, original syringe hands, center seconds hand, new modern leather strap, and a caliber 11AFAC movement with 17 jewels. The watch measures approximately 36 mm in diameter without the crown, by 44.5 mm lug tip to tip, has a lug width of 18 mm, and a case thickness of 13.3 mm.
The watch was serviced by us in December of 2024 and it is running properly and keeps good time. For your peace of mind it will come with a one year warranty directly through our shop. The strap has been replaced on the watch. Everything else on the watch is original as it was from day one. If you’re looking for imperfections you will find them throughout, such as a hand made inscription on the back, scratches and dings on the case, scratches, chips, and dings on the crystal, fading and stains on the bezel, fading, stains, and chipping of paint on the hands and dial. Overall I would classify this as an honest watch which was used regularly.
