1973 Rolex Datejust 1601 w/ Original Sigma Dial – 36mm Automatic Wristwatch

For sale is a pre-owned 1973 Rolex Datejust 36, model/reference number 1601. The watch comes exactly as shown and does not have the original box or papers.

We serviced this watch in-house 02/2026 as part of a routine preventative overhaul; it was not broken and did not require any repairs. During the service, we fully disassembled the movement, cleaned it, properly oiled it, reassembled it, and then timed and adjusted it to ensure it’s running as it should. It is currently running very well, keeping accurate time, and functioning exactly as it should with no issues. This watch comes with a 1-year warranty through our shop.

This watch features an original Sigma dial. The hour markers and hands are made of 18k white gold. The watch is fitted with a rounded five-piece Jubilee bracelet with 6251H stamped on the clasp and “55” stamped on each end link.

The watch has also been professionally polished and cleaned. However, due to its vintage and pre-owned nature, imperfections such as scratches, scuffs, and small dents are still visible on the case, bracelet, and bezel. The dial and hands show patina and signs of age. The acrylic crystal has some light surface scuffs. Please note that due to age, the lume on the hands and hour plots no longer glows. The bracelet shows stretch and some sag, which is typical for used vintage Jubilee bracelets from this era.

Sizing: 36mm case diameter, 43.5mm lug-to-lug, 20mm lug width, and approximately 12.3mm case thickness. The bracelet will fit up to approximately a 7.25 inch wrist.
