For sale is a vintage circa 1950s ladies’ Rolex Orchid in 18k solid yellow gold, model/reference number 8459. The watch is fitted with a non-Rolex Forstner USA-made 12kt gold-filled band.
The watch was serviced by us in-house in 2026 as part of a routine overhaul maintenance. During the service, the movement was fully disassembled, cleaned, oiled, timed, and adjusted for accuracy. The watch comes backed by us with a 1-year warranty through our store.
Condition: The watch is over 70 years old and pre-owned, so you can expect scratches, scuffs, and signs of age throughout the case, dial, and hands.
Features: 18k solid yellow gold case, 12kt gold-filled Forstner bracelet, push/pull crown, plastic crystal, hobnail dial, and a Rolex cal. 280 manual wind movement with 17 jewels.
Sizing: The case measures approximately 16mm in diameter, 7.3mm in thickness, and 23.8mm from lug tip to lug tip.
