Description
For sale is a vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre manual-wind 33 mm military watch, known for its bayonet case back and diamond-shaped hands. The watch’s exact year is unconfirmed, but it is estimated to date from 1945 – 1950. The reference number is also unconfirmed, though it is likely E159. The watch comes exactly as pictured, on a non-JLC two-piece fabric strap.
Powering the watch is the manual-wind Cal. 463A movement with 15 jewels. The watch has a 164,*** case serial number and a 267,*** movement serial number.
We recently serviced the movement in-house as part of a routine preventive overhaul. Nothing was broken, and no repairs were needed. During the service, the watch was fully disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, timed, and adjusted for accuracy. The watch is running well and functioning properly. It is backed by a one-year warranty through our store.
