1986 Rolex Submariner Date 16803 Purple Hue Original Dial Men’s 40mm Wristwatch

For sale is a pre-owned men’s 1986 Rolex Submariner Date, reference 16803. The dial was originally blue but has darkened through natural aging, giving it a unique deep-blue color with a purple hue in certain lighting. The watch comes as pictured with its original Rolex Bufkor USA box.

The service history is unknown. However, the watch is 100% authentic, running well, functioning properly, and keeping accurate time without any issues. It does not require a service at this time. For added peace of mind, we’re backing it with a one-year warranty through our store.

The watch has a 9.1-million serial number and is fitted with a Rolex 93153-18 two-tone Oyster bracelet. The bracelet has an “I10” inner clasp code, dating it to 1984.

Condition: The watch was recently professionally polished and cleaned and has not been worn since. However, because it is vintage and pre-owned, it is not perfect and still shows some signs of wear throughout. The sides of the case have some light scuffs, while the aluminum bezel insert and bracelet also have some scuffs. The dial, hands, and sapphire crystal all appear to be in good cosmetic condition.

Please note that the spine of the box is slightly damaged, as shown in the photos.

Sizing: The case measures approximately 40mm in diameter, 47mm from lug tip to lug tip, 20mm between the lugs, and 12.7mm in thickness. The bracelet is missing two of its original links but can still fit wrists up to approximately 7.5 inches.
