For sale is a men’s pre-owned 1948 Omega Automatic Bumper Chronometer 18k yellow gold wristwatch, model/reference 2499. This is an Omega Centenary, Omega’s first automatic chronometer wristwatch. The watch features an 11,xxx,xxx serial number and houses a caliber 343 movement adjusted to 5 positions with 17 jewels. It comes exactly as shown in the photos and is fitted on a non-Omega leather strap.
Condition: Fair. The watch is pre-owned and over 70 years old, so signs of wear such as scratches, scuffs, and dents on the case are to be expected (as shown in photos). Please note that the dial has been refinished at some point during its lifetime. The watch was serviced by us in 04/2026 as part of a routine maintenance overhaul. During service, the movement was fully disassembled, cleaned, properly oiled, timed, and adjusted for accuracy. It is backed by our 1-year in-house warranty. Due to age, this watch is no longer water resistant and should not be exposed to any water.
