For sale is a men’s pre-owned 1946 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Chronometer “Bubble Back,” model/reference number 2940. The watch does not have its original box or papers and comes exactly as shown in the photos – watch only. The watch was serviced by us in March 2026, it runs and keeps time as it should and comes backed by our store with a 1-year warranty.
Disclaimer: The dial and hands have been refinished. The bracelet dates to approximately 1962 and is an authentic Rolex bracelet; however, it was added to this watch at a later date and was not originally issued with this specific watch.
Condition: Pre-owned. You can expect to see scratches, scuffs, and minor dings on the case and case back. The bracelet also has some scuffs, and the dial shows signs of age and has been refinished. The hands have also been refinished.
Features: Stainless steel case, Rolex riveted bracelet with 2/64 ends, screw-down crown, sweep seconds hand, screw-back “Bubble Back” case, and a Rolex caliber 3174 automatic movement with 17 jewels.
Sizing: 32mm case, 17mm lug width, 13.6mm case thickness, and 38.8mm distance from lug tip to lug tip. The bracelet fits a 6.75-inch wrist when resting with no stretch in the links, or up to a 7.5-inch wrist when the links are fully stretched. This is a small watch and is intended for smaller-sized wrists.
