For sale is a circa 1930s Illinois Cavalier Special Model 14k gold-filled men’s vintage wristwatch, reference/model number 209. The watch comes as pictured – just the watch, fitted with a Rochet black leather strap and a steel buckle.

Powering the watch is an Illinois cal. 607 manual-wind movement with 17 jewels.

We recently serviced this watch in April 2026 as part of a routine preventive overhaul. Nothing was broken, and no repairs were needed. During the service, the watch was fully disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, timed, and adjusted for accuracy. The watch is running well and functioning properly. It is backed by a one-year warranty through our store.

Condition: This watch is vintage and pre-owned, so you can expect signs of wear and age. The case is 14k gold-filled, so some of the edges of the case and bezel have a copper-colored look. The case and bezel also carry noticeable scuffs, as you can see in the photos. The crystal has scuffs, and the dial and hands both have obvious signs of aging. Despite the cosmetic wear, the watch functions without issues.

Sizing: The case measures approximately 27.5 mm x 35.6 mm, 18 mm in lug width, and 9 mm in thickness. The two-piece band will fit a wrist up to 6.75 inches when fastened at the last hole. The watch is best suited for wrists 6.5 inches and under due to its size, though it’s all personal preference.
