Description
For sale is a men’s pre-owned vintage Omega Automatic Day-Date from 1977, model/reference number 166.0209. The watch is unpolished throughout, signed in six places, and comes as a full set with its original purchase receipts from 1977. Please note that the original paperwork was never filled in; however, the original store receipts and case serial number (40,2**,***) confirm that the watch was produced in the same year it was sold – 1977.
The watch has only ever been serviced once, which was by us in August 2026 as part of a routine preventive overhaul. During the service, we fully disassembled the movement, cleaned it, oiled it, timed it, and adjusted it for accuracy. The watch is 100% authentic, runs accurately and properly, and, for added peace of mind, we’re backing the watch with a one-year warranty through our store.
The watch is fitted with its original matching bracelet, which was manufactured in the USA by Duchess for Omega.
Condition: The watch has been left in its original, unpolished vintage state, so all of its original contours, scratches, and light scuffs remain untouched and visible on the case, bezel, and bracelet. The plastic crystal also carries some light scuffs. The dial and hands appear to be clean, but the lume no longer glows due to age. The watch is also no longer water-resistant due to its age.
Sizing: The case measures to be approximately 35mm in diameter, 18mm in lug width, 10.8mm in case thickness, and 41mm from lug tip to lug tip. The bracelet can fit up to a 7.5-inch wrist maximum.
Features: Stainless steel case and bracelet, automatic Cal. 1020 movement with 17 jewels, day and date displays at 3 o’clock with double quickset, central seconds hand, applied hour markers, and a plastic crystal.
Shipping and returns: Free shipping in the USA. International shipping is $100. Buyer pays any taxes or import fees. Returns are only accepted within 3 days if the item is returned in the same condition as sold.
