Description
For sale is a rare model Longines Automatic reference 4391 wristwatch. The watch was originally made as a dress watch for men and has a diameter of 33 mm. It does wear larger because of the one piece integrated bracelet. Its also a watch that can be shared by men and women. The watch was made circa 1978 (based on the caliber movement coming out in 1977 with serial numbers in the 53 mil range and this being in the 54 mil range). The movement used for this model was Longines last actual in-house movement that they used in their watches.
*When this movement came out in 1977 it was the worlds thinest automatic movement at the time.
The watch features a mineral glass crystal, signed crown, blue dial, date with quickset, and a caliber L990.1 movement with 25 jewels. The watch will fit wrist sizes of up to 7.5 inches. It has one tiny adjustment on the clasp and also screw links to be able to size the watch down for smaller wrists. We just serviced this watch, it is working properly and keeps accurate time. The case and bracelet were never polished and was barely even used. It only shows some very fine scratches in some spots. It is in excellent overall condition and will come with a one year written warranty.
