Description
For sale is a beautiful vintage 1950’s Swiss made manual wind Lemania military chronograph wristwatch. The dial and hands were for the Royal Navy of UK but the watch was not used by the UK military. The dial and hands were updated with dial and hands used on single pusher chronos for the British military. They were a possible addition sometime in the 1960’s. The dial and hands were possibly updated when the watch was decommissioned. The caseback markings confirm that the watch was at some point issued to a military service, but not the British military. It is of unknown military provenance.
The crystal and crown were definitely replaced at some point and not original to the watch. The dial and hands although added to the watch they are in original untouched condition, never refinished. The watch features a plastic crystal, leather strap, and a caliber 15TL movement with 17 jewels. The movement is a bit rough as seen in the photos, has some corrosion stains. The watch measures 38 mm in diameter without the crown, by 45.25 mm lug tip to tip, has 20 mm wide lugs, and a case thickness of 14.25 mm. Free shipping worldwide.
*The watch is a beautiful vintage timepiece and priced accordingly based on what it is.
