Description
For sale is a mens vintage 1975 CWC “Fab Four” manual wind chronograph made for the British Military. The model reference number is 6B/551. The serial number is 924-3306. This watch is number 48 out of the 77 made in this run (in total only about 3600 of these watches were produced from 1973-1982). The watch features a beefy asymmetrical stainless steel case (right side is extended longer than the left), original acrylic crystal, original dial and hands with lume, screw in back, new leather strap, and a Valjoux 7733 movement with 17 jewels. The watch measures 39 mm in diameter without the crown, by 46 mm lug tip to tip, has 20 mm wide lugs, and a case thickness of 13 mm.
The watch was recently serviced by us, it is in good working order and keeps good time. The chronograph functions start, stop, and re-set properly. The dial and hands are untouched. The leather strap is new. The acrylic crystal was polished and looks like new. The case was at one point polished, and the back a bit “over polished”, or worn from wear. Free shipping in the USA.
