For sale is a mens vintage circa 1960’s Wittnauer Professional manual wind chronograph. The model/reference number is 242T. The watch features an original matte black dial, luminous hour marker plots, 10ths of seconds decimal scale on the dial edge, original silver tone luminous hands, lollipop chronograph seconds hand, original signed crown, acrylic crystal (probably original), original Wittnauer bracelet, and a caliber 13W (Valjoux 72) movement with 17 jewels. The watch measures 38.5 mm in diameter without the crown, 45.25 mm lug tip to tip, 20 mm in lug width, and has a thickness of 13.5 mm.
The watch works properly, keeps excellent time, and all the chronograph functions operate properly. A one year warranty is included. The dial and hands seem perfect except for the fact that the lume has aged to a beautiful creamy patina. The case and bracelet have fine surface scuffs from normal use.
